The Uncanny

An eerie psychological phenomenon where the familiar is rendered deeply strange, destabilizing reality by blurring boundaries between the human and the unnatural.

The thrill of the familiar turning strange. A creeping dread that arises when the ordinary becomes alien, and the comfortable is rendered deeply unsettling. It's the feeling of a dream bleeding into waking life, where logic bends and the ground shifts beneath your feet.
