Splatterpunk

A transgressive, aggressive horror subgenre born out of anti-establishment punk movements, defined by explicit, graphic, and hyper-detailed depictions of extreme violence and bodily mutilation.

The visceral shock of extreme physical destruction and mutilation. The raw, uncompromising depiction of violence that confronts the reader with the brutal collapse of the body and social order, offering no comfort or evasion.
