Unwieldy Creatures

This science fiction retelling of Frankenstein centers on three characters living as outsiders: Plum, a queer biracial intern at an embryology lab; Dr. Frank, a queer biracial scientist creating life without traditional gametes; and Dr. Frank's abandoned nonbinary creation. The narrative examines the ambition of scientific advancement and the personal risks involved when Plum is offered a chance to assist Dr. Frank's next project.
