The Shining

A family is haunted by the malevolent forces of a remote mountain resort, and years later, one of them must confront a tribe of quasi-immortal beings who feed on children with psychic abilities. The connection between the books is the shared theme of psychic powers, referred to as "the shining," and the lingering trauma from a horrific childhood experience at the Overlook Hotel.
