The Hesperian Trilogy

This series imagines a world where the Roman Empire never fell and its legions invade North America in AD 1218. The books follow Roman Praetor Gaius Marcellinus, who is spared after his legion is destroyed and comes to see the continent and its people as his home. He must then defend his new home from both returning Roman armies and new invaders.
