A damaged robot factory-ship drifts through space for millennia after a stellar catastrophe, eventually leading a 21st-century colony ship to Titan for unknown reasons. The series explores the reawakening of ancient, powerful alien beings who created the robot culture and seek to dominate all, while scientists and a psychic prepare to confront them.
