College freshman Brenda Morris discovers that magic is real and her ancestors are part of a group known as the Thirteen Orphans, who fled a magical world to Earth centuries ago. The series follows Brenda and her family as they navigate the magical world and its conflicts, with the Orphans' powers hidden within the game of mah-jong.
