Anthropomorphic Protagonist
A non-human entity — animal, creature, object, or alien — that serves as the primary point-of-view protagonist and is rendered with human-equivalent interiority: reasoning, memory, emotion, and moral agency.
Grants radical defamiliarisation of the human world by showing it through a genuinely alien cognitive lens. Creates deep empathy across the species boundary and raises questions about consciousness, personhood, and what constitutes a valid inner life.
