Jackie Hatton was raised in Hobart, Tasmania, and Melbourne, Victoria. She left Australia to see what was beyond "the mainland" twenty-five years ago and has still not finished her journey. She picked up a Ph.D. along the way. She has lived in the UK and the US, including Westport, CT, where Flesh & Wires takes place. Right now she lives in Amsterdam.
